Betty J. Rider Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 15, 2021, at the age of 89, Betty J. Rider (Murray, Utah) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty J. Rider to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph V. Johnson and Ruth Johnson (Lawler); and her grandson Tim Rider. She is survived by: her sibling Falls; her husband Wayne N. Rider; her siblings, Shirley Madsen and Peter Netka; her children, Kathy Mortensen (Steve Rice) and Kevin Rider (Gayle); and her grandchildren, Lisa, Scott, Karen (Mortensen), Morgan, Buffy, Brittany (Rider), Becca Campbell and Matt Palmer. She is also survived by 27 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Active to the end, Betty didn't like the term "social distancing" and was looking forward to "things getting back to normal and we could gather without masks.".
In lieu of flowers, it is the family's wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to Girl Scouts of Utah – membership.
