He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Nelson and Magdalene Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Marie; and his children, Patty Stephens (Alan), Kim Leslie (Bill), Russell Nelson (Dianne) and Kristine Nelson (Michael). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and his older 2 brothers.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Huntsman Center or to other charities.
