He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter LeeRoy and Mildred Densley Winward; his daughter Pauline Bowers Smith; and his siblings, Dean, Valoy, Gail, Grant, Donna, Donald and Frank.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Sena Carlson Lea; and his children, Frank E. Winward (Ramon Gomez), Shannon G Winward, Shane L Winward, Blaine Bowers (Janice) and Cherryl B. Golding (Don).
