He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Carter and Flora Carter; his son Brent Paul Carter; his brother Jerry Carter; and his grandson JayDee Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Beckstead Carter (Temple); his children, Dan Carter (Jennifer) of Lund, NV, Debborah Stanton, David Carter (Shelly), Juli Patterson (Tim) and Tawnya Blackburn (Mark); his siblings, Tracy Carter (Barbara) of Uintah, UT, Scott Carter (LouJean), Jeff Carter (Sue) and Jenny Bailey (Jeff) of Eagle Mountain, UT; and his sister-in-law Laverna Carter of Preston, ID.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
