She was predeceased by: her parents, Arletta Ray Robinson and Oliver R. Stuart; her former spouse Verl A. Smith; her spouse Dale L. Smith; her sister Betty Mae Stuart Rollins; and her half-siblings, Oliver N. Stuart, Thomas L. Ray, John V. Ray, Melba Ray Layton and Marjorie Ray Stephens.

She is survived by: her children, Valley Implement, Café, Confectionary, V. Arnold Smith (Linda), Stuart J. Smith (Nadine), Margaret Taylor (Robert), Annette Peterson (Brad) and Marie Woolsey (Larry); and her sister-in-law Vada Smith Brimley. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, 4 step-children.
