He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Peterson and Myrtle Peterson; his grandsons, Brandon Jones, Nathan Peterson and Blake Peterson; and his siblings, Jerry Peterson, Dennis Peterson and Sharon Carrigan.
He is survived by: his wife Ardath Loosli; his children, Christine Slate (Dick), Cheryl Jones (Ralph), Tamra Sargent (Kam), Roger Peterson (Kelee) and Richard Peterson (JaNae); and his brothers, Marvin Peterson and Glen Peterson. He is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren.
