She was predeceased by: her parents, Lehi Orval and Barbara Frost Hunt; her husband James Marvin "Pard" Slade; and her siblings, William Hunt, Gerald Hunt, Cheryl Burch and Joann Montierth.

She is survived by: her daughters, Samantha Randolph (Corey) of Monticello and Nannette Shayne Nolden (Frank) of Conyers, Georgia. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
