He is survived by: his wife Patty; his children, Ruth Ellen Tyson (Rick) of Lehi, UT, Rebecca Lyon (Jeff) of Sandy, UT, Rachel Smartt (late Dave) of Peachtree City, GA, Sarah Barrus (Delane) of Alpine, UT, Esther Kehl (Ron) of Holladay, UT, Deborah Wagner (Spencer) of Sandy, UT, David Thatcher of Lehi, UT and Elizabeth Panisi (Uaisele) of Cottonwood Heights, UT.; his grandchildren, Zane Tyson (Hilda), Ananda Tyson, Jesse Tyson, Dyanna Lyon Henderson (Michael), John Lyon (Abigail), Raychel Lyon Stromberg (Jamison), Stephanie Smartt Madsen (Stephen), Sarah Smartt Smith (Neal), Megan Smartt Jolissaint (Josef), Michelle Smart Mendoza (Isai), Devin Barrus, Sienna Barrus, Quintin Kohler (Emily), Austin Kohler (Madisyn), Lindsey Leavitt (Taylor), Dallin Martin, Campbell Kehl, Matina Kehl, Canon Kehl, Alexandria Kehl, Gabrielle Wagner, Brooklyn Wagner, Hope Wagner, Stewart Wagner, Miles Wagner, Stella Panisi and Louenna Panisi; and his sister Mary Lee Morgan (late Michael) of Zanesville, OH. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.
He was a resident of Beehive Homes in Santaquin for the past few months due to the effects of Parkinson's.
