She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Nielsen and Afton Susie Hamblin; and her son Barry John Cotton. She is survived by: her husband Terry Blanchard; her children, Dennis (Julie) and Debbie (Glenn); her sister Michele; and her grandsons, Kevin (Shelly), Dane and Kenyon (Lindley).
