It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Russell Penrose of Midvale, Utah, who passed away on July 19, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace H. Penrose and Laura Ann Kay Penrose; his sisters, Laura Mae Pace and Darlene Nielsen; his children, Greg, David, Pamela, Debra and Denise; and his daughter-in-law Caroline.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Lou Ancell; his brother Wallace K (Clarine); his children, Kevan (Sidney), Ron (Leslie) and Sherrilyn Hawkes (Cody); and his daughter-in-law Sheri Penrose. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

He probably never realized the impact he made on a young girl who was searching for stability and acceptance, and who found it spending countless hours "growing up" in the Penrose home. He helped me with my homework, gave me sound advice on many subjects, and never seemed to mind that I was there all the time. My heart aches at his passing, but what a legacy he has left.
