Bob Krakowski wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Sue, I am sorry for your loss. Jim was one of my best friends and I always thought of him as the big brother I never had. We had great years as roommates and a lot of memories on the ramp in msp. One of my favorite memories was when we stopped by my mothers house for breakfast and she made him take off his jeans to sew up a hole. there we sat eating bacon and eggs and Jim was in his underwear at the kitchen table. She always thought of Jim as one of her boys. Krak and Susan”

Lawrence Richard wrote a sympathy message

“I'm so sorry for your loss Jim's family. I worked with Jim on the ramp in Minneapolis in 1972. I transferred to Phoenix several years later and I was guiding a B737 into the gate when Jim stuck his head out of the co-pilots window. I was amazed but not surprised. If anyone was going to make the leap from a ramp rat to pilot it would be Jim. Smart man with a big heart. L. Behringer”
