He was predeceased by: his father George L. Benitez. He is survived by: his mother Mary Gilpin; his siblings, Georgia Kinder (Lamont), George Jr. Benitez, Naomi Claudio (Orlando), Patricia Benitez, Nola Benitez and Natalie Thornwall; and his children, Autumn, Elisa and Felix (Gege). He is also survived by 3 granddaughters, many nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews, and his many friends whom were his chosen family.
