He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandfathers, Louis Darrell Kinyon, Mapleton and Heavenly; his parents, Merle Kinyon and Zola Bell Fenn Kinyon; his wife Ellen Ranae Preston; his children, Darrell, Doug (Arlee), Terry and Kelly (Bradford); and his brothers, Gene, Buck and Ronald. He was also cherished by his 12 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
