He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Edgar and Marina Perkins Johnson; his former wife Treva Harper; his grandson Kristopher Gary Baron; and his siblings, Ernest Edger Jr., Edna Morgan, Faye Hansen, Marva Empey and Charlene Weaver.
He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Jana Johnson Stockdale (Bob), Paula Johnson Russell (Rick), Tamara Johnson Larkin (Scott), Harper Leon Johnson (Janis Coleman) and Rebecca Johnson; and his sister Arletta Johnson Jensen. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren.
