He was predeceased by: his wife Kayla Nelson (Tingey); his daughter Analee Rupp (Nelson); his parents, Ellis and Ruby; his brothers, Deloy (LaRaine) and Rulon (Nedra); and his brother-in-law Ralph Wyatt.
He is survived by: his children, Doug Nelson (Jill), Alisa Whitby (Jeb) and Travis Nelson (Sharon); and his sisters, Loretta Wyatt and Grace Walker (LeWayne). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made to the missionary fund for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in his memory.
