He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Scott and Leigh Ann; his parents, Grant W. Cox and Elizebeth Lu Dean Hougaard; his wife Marlene Cox; his children, Stephen Cox Manti (Julie), Kerri Madsen South (Scott), Lisa Oliverson St (Bradley) and Kristen Smith (Michael); and his brothers, Douglas Cox Manti (Joyce) and Merrill Cox Manti (Doris). He was also cherished by 26 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
