He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Young and Marietta Young; his sisters, Barbara and Erlene; and his sons, Joseph and Robert.

He is survived by: his wife Mona; and his son Brian. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
