He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Troy Shields and Joanna Fleeman Shields. He is survived by: his wife Jolene G. Shields (Kidd); his daughter Lonette Shields; his stepsons, Paul Hook (Kim), David Hook (Ruthann), Jason Hook and Matthew Hook (Rachelle); and his stepgrandchildren, Loschelle, Alyssa, Krysta, Trace, Gavin, Hunter Hallie, Hayden and Paisley.
