He is survived by: his wife Leslie Jeanine Nielsen (Bingham); his granddaughter Genevieve; his parents, LeGrand Nielsen and Marilyn Nielsen; and his sisters, Lynette (John), Brenda (Ralph), Dana, Lisa and Cheri (Shawn).
