He was predeceased by: his sister Debra Simmons. He is survived by: his brother Michael McGowan; and his nieces and nephews, Jeramy Heinberger (Brandy), Ben McGowan (RoChelle), Preston Heinberger (Mallory), Matt McGowan (Randi), Beu Heinberger, Chris Simmons, Holly Porter, Brandi Porter, Shannon McFadden (Josh) and Kristen Urie (Dallas). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
