With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dora Maxine Dean (Magna, Utah), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 10, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Dora Maxine leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gordon Cutler Dean; her parents, Maybert R. Strate and Leona Swensen Strate; and her siblings, Eva Leone Lund, Maybert Ray Strate, Helen Bernice Donaldson, Elwood Kent Strate and Robert Duane Strate.
She is survived by: her sons, Douglas Dean (Rebecca) and Jeffrey Dean (LaRayne). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Spencer 4th Ward Chapel (8181 W Breeze Dr, Magna, UT 84044). A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Valley View Memorial Park (4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City, UT 84120).
