He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Peter and Gladys Lamb Hancey; his wife Nellene Fabricius; his brother Harold Hancey; his brother-in-law Rodney K. Fabricius; and his great grandchildren, Paige Hancey and Corban Bindrup.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas Hancey (Judy), Lucille Hadfield (Kelly), Ruth Boshell (Evan), Annette Roberts (David), David Hancey (Amie) and Diane Hugie (Cal); and his sisters-in-law, Erma Jean Hancey, Yvonne F. Hyer and Shirley Fabricius. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren.
