He was predeceased by: his parents, Edson Harold and Lexie Porter (Denning) of Virginia; his daughter Becky Porter Kimball; his siblings, Rell and Teresa; and his great grandchild Jason.
He is survived by: his children, Sonja, Patty, Wayne, Benton, Susan, Cheryl and David; his wife Cynthia Mae Bishop; and his siblings, Randa Bench, Della and Barclay. He is also survived by seven children, 28 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
