“Richard was always my favorite cousin. We played in the old barn, took to chasing big green grasshppers and feeding them to the chickens, going to the creek and catching crawdads, We caught frogs out of Grandpa Hummel's fish pond. He paid us a penny a piece. We did have some adventures as children. Aunt Veda gave flattened angel food to eat in chunks. So many good memories. Betty, grieving takes as long as it takes. So sorry for your loss of a wonderful companion. Mary Betty,”
