Richard Garland Yonk Obituary

He was predeceased by: his father Merlin H. Yonk; his grandfather Garland Yonk; his sisters, Merlene Johnson and Rebecca Hadfield; and his son-in-law Michael Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kohn Darley; his children, Wendy, Jeanne and Jon; his siblings, Judith Maughan, Linda Batterman and Reed Yonk; his grandchildren, Michael, Tristan, Selena, Katie, Henry and Anders; and his great grandchildren, Rhodrei, Aneira and Cayden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He taught science at Logan High School for four years and received a National Science Foundation grant to pursue a Master's degree in biology at Emporia State University in Kansas.
