We are sad to announce that on April 10, 2025, at the age of 85, Merta Rae Sorenson Anderson Hansen of Logan, Utah passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Raymond Sorensen and Sallie Palmer Sorensen; her former husband Keith L. Anderson; her husband Jack Hansen; her daughter Kathy Lynne Anderson; her son-in-law David Huntsman; her in-laws, Lester and Madeline Anderson; her sister Naoma Milner; her brother-in-law Ernest Milner; her brother Douglas Sorensen; and her siblings-in-law, Julie Sorensen, Dell, Veva Harmon and Gary Lee Anderson.
She is survived by: her brothers, John Sorensen (Jackie) of Lake Havasu, Arizona and Jerry Sorensen of Orem, Utah; her sisters-in-law, Janice Sorensen of Sandy, Utah, LaFaye Pyne (Gary) of Provo, Utah and Sue Remkes (Pete) of Elk Ridge, Utah.; and her children, Brian Anderson (Rebecca) of Mansfield, Texas, Raylene Huntsman of Orem, Utah and Brenda Leftwich (Steve) of Logan, Utah.. She is also survived by 46 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the LDS Church (1674 N 200 W St, Orem, UT 84057). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
