With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Laura Hurst Clayton (Logan, Utah), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 6, 2025 at the age of 84. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Laura Hurst may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Hurst and Nellie Hurst; her husband Gerald Clayton; and her sister Helen. She is survived by: her sons, Kurt Clayton (Nancy) of Mesquite, NV, Scott Clayton (Kris) of Spanish Fork, UT, Lance Clayton (June) and Ryan Clayton (Becky) of Cottonwood Heights, UT.; and her siblings, Robert Hurst and Kathy Dougherty. She is also survived by grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Logan 10th Ward (792 N 500 E, Logan, UT 84321). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
