He is survived by: his wife LaJean Van Orden (Van Orden); his son Sam (Lee Higham); his daughter-in-law Marlene (Fine); and his children, Spencer (Amy Fox), Roger (Teja Braker) and LJ Boseman (Derrick). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
