He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell D. Carlsen and Betty Lou Carlsen; and his mothers-in-law, Marilyn Parson and Joyce Jenkins. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Sharon Hensley (Craig) and Richard Carlsen (Jill); his father-in-law Arnold Jenkins; his brothers-in-law, Lamar Jenkins (Jana) and Lynn Jenkins (Rhonda); and his brothers, Dr. Brad Goates, Teryl Hunsaker, Dr. Eric Johnson and Todd Hamblin. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Nelson Funeral Home (162 East 400 North, Logan, UT 84321).
