He is survived by: his wife Klara Schmid; and his daughters, Beatrix Sorensen (Warren), Esther Hooton (Daniel), Eva Nelson (Alan), Brigitta Westenskow (Donald) and Monica Ingold. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren.
