She is survived by: her husband Mikel; her children, Jasen (Jolyn), Tye (Beth), Marcie Hernandez (Aaron) and Kyle (Sierra); and her siblings, Valerie Staheli (Scott) and Eric Haymond (Ann). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren.

“I'm sorry this message is so late in coming. Julie was a good friend of mine in high school. We didn't keep in touch too well over the years, as I moved out of state, but I was able to chat with her a couple of years ago. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. Julie was a true friend. She wasn't one to talk about you behind your back or stir up trouble, as sometimes happens within a large group of friends (there were about 10 in or group). She laughed easily and was kind to everyone.”

“(cont) I wasn't the best influence on her. Once I invited her to Island Park with my family. We met a couple of boys and went motorcycle riding with them. We were gone so long my parents called the police! (No cell phones then!) Sending love and prayers. I'm sure Julie left a beautiful family behind. --Michele Allred Casper”
