She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parent Russell Vincent Peterson; her husband Dennis William Johns; her children, Laura VanAllen (Jared), Darrin, Devin (Jarrie), Dallin (Karla), Allison Johnson (Steve) and Janelle Gardner (Jeff); her siblings, Jeannie Sparks (Sparky), Jan Seamons (Terry), Julie Deucher (Rob), Russ Peterson (Colleen) and Rita Taylor; her grandson Travis Maddox; and her mother Phyllis Peterson (Giles). She was also cherished by the oldest of 6 children: 5 sisters and 1 brother.

This was the beginning of a tender relationship built upon unconditional love, long-suffering and patience as she cared for him through a 35 year battle with Parkinson's Disease.
