He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlin Chester and Verna Green Gardner of Levan, Utah.; his sisters, Karen Kendall and Tamra Howell; his brother-in-law Grant Kendall; and his niece Kay Abila.
He is survived by: his wife Cherry; his daughter Sharissa Haws; his son-in-law Patrick Haws; his grandchildren, Hannah, Ben and Maya; his son Brett Richard Gardner; his sisters, Debbie Smith (Doug) and Mollie Taylor (Lee); and his brother-in-law Allen Howell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
