He was predeceased by: his daughter Deborah Anne Day. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Jean Prescott Day; and his children, Darren Orville Day (Ruthenia), Shauna Dawn Day-Gomes (Don) and David Prescott Day (April). He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Lehi South Stake Center (600 S 500 E St, Lehi, UT 84043).

As a university professor of physics and a dedicated researcher, he made significant contributions to his field, focusing on gravitational physics and black holes.
