It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Erickson Schmidt (Layton, Utah), born in Ogden, Utah, who passed away on May 14, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldred H. Erickson and Lois Ruth Belnap; and her sons, Allen Harris and Erick Elliott. She is survived by: her husband James E. Schmidt; her children, Brent Schmidt (Judith), Darren Schmidt (Jolynn), Amy Tolman (Jake), Andrea Tucker (Ross), Annette Shiley (Caleb) and Ashley Davis (Kelland); her great grandchildren, Nora Schmidt and Rowan Schmidt; and her siblings, Bruce Erickson (Joyce), Janet Gee (Randy), David Erickson (Cindy), Nancy Jensen (Ray), Chris Erickson (Keli), Ellen Anson and Jeane Burton (Steve). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
