He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVance Page Nelson and Norma Arbuckle Nelson; his wife Reta Carolynn Nelson; his sisters, Carolyn, Diane and Janet; and his stepson David.
He is survived by: his former wife Jolene Tingey; his children, Derek Nelson (Tara), Angela Porter (Russell), Amy Morris (Dave) and Spencer Nelson (Emily); his stepchildren, Lorra Becker (Henry), Dennece Sawaya (Leo Rivera) and Michael Penman (Tracy); his sister Sue Kiisel (Ty); and also, David, Lorra, Dennece and Michael. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
