He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Dale Bates and Geraldine Anne Dolan Bates. He is survived by: his children, Scott and Leslie; his granddaughter Campbell; his daughter-in-law Caroline; his grandchildren, Hank and Charlotte; his brother Kenneth Bates; and also, Loal, Helen Anderson and Michael Sparnicht. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
