He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Golden and Ivan Paul Golden. He is survived by: his siblings, Jim and Barbara; his half-sister Sonja; his brother Larry; his wife Nellie Cope; and his children, Jeffrey Golden (April Jarvis), Bryan Golden (Barbara Rawlins), Emily (Troy Van Drimmelen) and Melissa (Casey Morris). He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
