He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Paul Shelton and Ellen Margaret Newton; his brothers, Wesley Paul Shelton and Charles Floyd Shelton; his siblings-in-law, Ruth "Mickey" Shelton and Loren Jensen; and his great grandchild Peter Tyler Ross.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Marie Higgs; his daughters, Tamera Stephens (Craig) and Julie Ross (David); his sister Norma Jene Jensen; and his sister-in-law Diane Shelton. He is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
