He is survived by: his close friend Carolyn; his wife Carolyn Painter; his children, Karl A. Bauer, Craig Bauer, Mark C. Bauer, Brent W. Bauer and Christine Bauer Thomson; and his siblings, Duane Bauer and Bobbette Vorkink. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
