With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Garry LeFevre Mortensen of Layton, Utah, who passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh A. Mortensen and Hartence LeFevre (Jack Dalton); and his brothers, Craig and Steven Mortensen. He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Wynn, Paul Mortensen, Margaret Goff, Phillip Mortensen and Troy Mortensen; his children, Michelle Park (Scott), Glenn Mortensen (Angela), Matthew Mortensen, Marie Mortensen, Annie Rowberry (Darin) and Heidi Mortensen; his spouse Shirley Denos; and his close friend Brooke Whipple. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, with 2 more great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary (1867 N Fairfield Rd, Layton, UT 84041). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
