He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Maria Elena Tamayo; his wife Josefina Sotel; his children, Sandra, Malena and Fidel Diaz, Jr.; and his siblings, Francisco "Pancho" Diaz, Hector "Tito" Diaz, Manuel Diaz, Manuel "Meno" Diaz, Teresa Mendoza, Elisa Melero, Mana, Melero, Leticia Munoz and Veronica Diaz. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews; those he adopted as his grandkids and great grandkids; and his friends.
