He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Julius Mortensen and Lula Roskelley; his former wife Patsy Delores Tolman; his grandchildren, Adam, Joseph and Phyllis; his son-in-law Mark Wilson; and his granddaughter Michelle Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Griffin of Clarkston; his children, Brad (Claudia), Boyd (Kim), Rod (Krista), Kelly (James Porter), Bart (Stephanie) and David (Leila); his sisters, LuJean Leake and Eunice Barrett; his sister-in-law Merle Elizabeth Alvey; and also, Lanette (Garth Thompson), Laurie (Darwin Thompson), Rebecca (Kevin Nielsen), Patricia (John Bradley), Roxanne Wilson and Edwin (Amy). He is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren.
