He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Harold Weir and Gladys Ada Bosworth; and his siblings, Ada Wade (Clyde), Evelyn Thompson (Bob), Vila Allred (Elton), Harold Weir (Margene), Blaine Weir (Betty) and LaNae Schaer (Arnold).

He is survived by: his wife Diane Knight Weir; and his children, Tami Ashmead (Brett), Becky Willard (Matt), Ryan Weir (Brooke), Darrin Weir and Marianne Betournay (Matt). He is also survived by fifteen grandkids and one great-grandchild.
