He is survived by: his parents, Edward Hunter and Sarah Rasminnie Nielsen Welling; his wife Kathryn; his children, Stephen Welling (Suzanne Gunnell), Douglas Welling (Martha Hatcher), Elise Major (Keith), Sue Ann (Bradley Caldwell) and Michael Welling (Melinda Chipman); and his foster daughter Sharon.
