He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Nephi Ricks and Ella Fay Hallstrom. He is survived by: his wife Florence Fern Hadsall; his children, Kevin (Jacolyn), Julie Palmer (Kyle), Sue Alvey (Jim), Linda Sorensen (Ken) and Debra Hansen (Rick); his grandchildren, Danny, Dallin, Tiffany, Brooke, Candra, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Shane, Maddie, Acacia, Livy, Kara, Dustin, Zac and Aria; and his great grandchildren, Kiah, Noah, Rory, Gideon and Jean.
