He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Russell and Mildred Stott Russell; and his brothers, Jasper Virgil, Bill Russell and Don Russell.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lynn Nielsen (Barry) and Gina Lloyd (Mark) of Panaca, Nevada; his grandchildren, Devin Lloyd (Kristen), Derek Lloyd (Jenna), Alec Lloyd (Kia), Madelin Peterson (Wyatt) and Allie Nielsen; his great grandchildren, Amillia, Olivia and Lily; and his siblings, Jack and Laine. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law.
