He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Koons and Mae Larson Koons; and his brothers, Daniel Charles and Douglas Wayne. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Chloe Mognett; and his stepson Kerry Grant Worthen. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
