He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene W. Rife and Opal Pearl Whaley; his sister Collene Ramsay; his former wife Dorthy Wierdsma; and his wife Judith Menzelli.
He is survived by: his sister Glena Simpson; and his children, Shane Rife, Shelly Kotter (Brent), Geno Rife, Rene Tucker (Daniel), Donna Hellstrom (Cordell), Kelly Jackson (Larry) and Tod Clift (Becky). He is also survived by grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
