He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmo Atkinson and Ilene Atkinson; his parents-in-law, Vern and Ruth Huff; his granddaughter Kortni Jo Sawyer; his great grandchildren, Riggins and Franki Sawyer; his grandson Johnny Lee Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Delora Huff Young, Sandra Butters Atkinson, James Huff, Ralph McCormick and Joe Vancil.
He is survived by: his significant other Bonita Huff; his children, Becky Smith (John), Donna Thacker (Lynn), Jamie Blazzard (Barry), Trent Atkinson (Marsha) and Barry Atkinson (Jamie); his siblings, Delma Vancil, Garold Atkinson, Bonnie McCormick, Karon Atkinson (Terry Ann), Terry Atkinson (Vicki) and JoAnn Rockhill (Byron); and his brother-in-law Gerald Young. He is also survived by his children, 21 grandchildren and their spouses, 42 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Woodland LDS Ward Chapel (4219 S Bench Creek Rd, Kamas, UT 84036). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the Francis Cemetery (2585 UT-35, Kamas, UT 84036).
